Aurora Winkler

Maine-based artist Aurora Winkler makes abstract paintings that are informed by sensory interpretations bridging the thoughts between what is known and how it is felt. Inspiration comes from her moments by rivers, oceans, mountains and the occasional meeting of these natural landscapes with urban architecture.

Aurora has been painting since 2010 after finishing her undergraduates in Nevada. She has experience working in the art gallery business for over 10 years. Her work can be found in both local and national galleries and has been represented with publications such as Condé Nast publishing.

Her inspirations come from time spent outdoors, near the rivers mountains and oceans. She replicates these moments outdoors through color, abstracting the views and interpreting the feeling of those adventures and of the wild terrain we all live among.

Aurora Winkler lives and works in Western, Maine. She received a BFA from Sierra Nevada College, on Lake Tahoe in Nevada. Her workhas been shown at the Portland Art Gallery, in Portland Maine, Barba Contemporary Art, in Palm Springs California, The Jackson Art Gallery and Studio in Jackson New Hampshire, Harvest Gold Gallery in Lovell Maine, and online with Oeuvre Fine Art as well as The UGallery.
